Smooth sailing seen for Lt. Gen. Bautista Aug 14th 2013, 22:55 MANILA, Philippines—The Commission on Appointments (CA) is expected to confirm the appointment of Lt. Gen. Emmanuel Bautista as Armed Forces chief of staff this month before hearing those of three Cabinet secretaries who have been in office since 2010.   Senate President Franklin Drilon, the chair of the bicameral body that screens presidential appointees, said the commission is also expected to confirm the appointment of several ambassadors, whose appointments are already pending before the body.   "We will start working on the nominees.
