Aquino to lead 'biggest' distribution of guns in PNP Jul 2nd 2013, 01:07 MANILA, Philippines -- President Benigno Aquino III is set to personally lead the distribution of brand new Glock 17 Generation 4 pistols Tuesday. President Aquino, to be accompanied by Interior Secretary Mar Roxas and PNP chief, Director General Alan Purisima, will turn over 22,603 units of 9-millimeter pistols to PNP personell in a ceremony to be held at the National Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City. The units to be distributed are part of the total 59,904 pistols acquired by PNP in 2012 under the leadership of Director General Nicanor Bartolome in a bid to provide handguns for each of its 148,000 men.
