One of the most anticipated births of this generation, let alone this year, was the first-born child of music superstars Beyonce and Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter. On January 7, the "Crazy in Love" singer delivered the couple's daughter, Blue Ivy, in the utmost secrecy. Though NYC's Lenox Hill Hospital denied the rumors, the music superstars reportedly rented out an entire floor of for $1.3 million in an effort to protect their privacy and ensure that there were no prying paparazzi in the vicinity. Anything for their little girl! And parenthood certainly seems to be agreeing with Bey and Jay-Z. "[Having a daughter] just gives you purpose and all of the things that my self-esteem was associated with, it's all completely different," Beyonce told Anderson Cooper, adding that she even gets a kick out of changing diapers. "I love every moment of it," she gushed. "It's so beautiful."
James Timothy and Fiona Lee Pudi – January 12
It was twice the baby joy for "Community's" Danny Pudi and his wife, Bridge, when they welcomed twins James Timothy and Fiona Lee on January 12, eight years after they married. "We couldn't be more excited," the actor tweeted after announcing their good news. "Here's to being pooped and peed on!"
Maxwell Lue Rollins – January 19
Before Jessica Simpson named her daughter Maxwell, "Covert Affairs" actress Lindsay Sloane got to the moniker first when she delivered Maxwell Lue on January 19. "We thought we knew what love was until we met her," Sloane and husband Dar Rollins said in a statement about their "sweet little girl."

Bryce Dallas Howard and her husband, actor Seth Gabel, welcomed their second child on January 19, a daughter they named Beatrice Jean. She joined big brother Theo, 4, who guessed while his mommy was still pregnant that he was going to get a little sister.

After letting it slip that he and wife Susan were expecting a son, Robert Downey Jr. joked that the name was so top-secret if he spilled on that too, she "would lop off my head with a machete." Luckily, the "Iron Man" star survived the February 7 birth of his second son (he also has Indio, 19, with ex-wife Deborah Falconer).

Jason Bateman's daughter must be pretty sweet, since the "Arrested Development" star and his wife, Amanda Anka, gave their second daughter a very unique name when she entered the world on February 10. Little Maple Sylvie joins big sister, Francesca, 6.

Ben Affleck finally got male energy in his all-girl household when third child, son Samuel Garner, was born on February 27, joining big sisters Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3. Although Jennifer Garner has said she is perfectly content with her trio, her husband is not ready to stop. "I can tell you that would be a pretty uphill battle with me," Garner told "Extra" in August. "I am not anticipating having any more kids."

Suri, Apple, and Bronx had their peculiar names usurped when Jeremy Sisto and his wife, Addie Lane, named their son Bastian Kick after his March 9 birth. "Little man finally told us his name," the "Suburgatory" actor tweeted 12 days after welcoming his second child, whom he and Lane had been calling "unnamed boy." The couple also have a 3-year-old daughter named Charlie Ballerina.
