MANILA, Philippines – Several areas in Metro Manila remained submerged in floodwaters Monday morning due to continuous heavy rains throughout the night, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said. Roger Nicodemus of MMDA-Flood Control Unit said the highest flood recorded was that at SM City-Sucat which had 37-inch floodwaters since 12:25 a.m. up until posting. Nicodemus said South Super Highway-Buendia with 20 inches flood was added in the list of flooded areas past midnight.
