'Chess the Musical' brings together Fil-Am bicoastal talents

LOS ANGELES, CA—Some 600 people showed up to audition for the East West Players' production of "Chess the Musical," and eight Fil-Ams came away with more than half of the 15 available roles.   The Fil-Ams are Joan Almedilla (Florence), Victor E. Chan (Fredrick), Ray A. Rochelle (Molokov), Cesar Cipriano (Ensemble), Jasmine Ejan (Ensemble), Shay Louise (Ensemble), DT Matias (Ensemble) and Justin Vasquez (Ensemble).   "Chess" is directed by Tim Dang, with musical direction by Marc Macalintal and choreography by Marc Oka.
