MANILA, Philippines—The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has ordered the suspension of the conduct of the validation of voters' registration records. Resolution No. 9741 explains that the move was meant to maximize the Comelec workforce in preparing for the synchronized barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections in October. The Comelec ordered the suspension effective Friday "until further ordered to resume by the commission en banc."
