Comelec suspends validation of voters' biometrics Jul 11th 2013, 23:01 MANILA, Philippines—The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has ordered the suspension of the conduct of the validation of voters' registration records.   Resolution No. 9741 explains that the move was meant to maximize the Comelec workforce in preparing for the synchronized barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections in October.   The Comelec ordered the suspension effective Friday "until further ordered to resume by the commission en banc."   But it stressed that the conduct of voters' registration for the coming Barangay and SK elections on July 22 to 31, 2013 is still continuing.   The validation of registration records, which s...
