Lee deserves to be criticized for letting Ed Smith spread the "Daisy In A Box" hoax on his public forum, it's going to be very difficult for him to shake off the image that he is tied closely to the "Ed Smith" fiasco. Lee's decision to ban Smith from his forum after given him an unadulterated platform to form his hoax was an unusual one and it has come with a price. It has only been recently that Lee had permitted Smith, who left an ambiguous message about a possible capture of a Bigfoot back in October 2012. After stating that his group "can neither confirm or deny the existence of a body. I will state this unequivocally that Ed Smith IS our friend," Lee essentially ended the whole episode by leaving it up in the air on a radio show and cited "yellow journalism" by blaming Bigfoot Evidence blog for not doing enough research.
