Three police forces have abandoned a planned outsourcing contract with the security company G4S after their newly appointed police and crime commissioners vetoed the deal.
Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire police were considering contracting G4S to provide information technology and human resources support as part of a money-saving collaboration strategy. But in a meeting Tuesday night the commissioners decided to drop the plans.
