IM Lucas Liascovich grabbed the winner's trophy at the Torneo Superior Metropolitano de Buenos Aires that was played on 12th-20th March at the Club Atletico River Plate.

Liascovich edged his colleague IM Maximiliano Ginzburg on tiebreaks after both obtained 5.5 points in 7 rounds. Liascovich was undefeated during the whole tournament – he got four victories and three draws.

American NM Will Stewart – one of the masters that participates actively in the Chess Arena platform - finished in sixth place with 4.5 points.

There were prizes for the top five players: 1st – 2 000 pesos; 2nd – 1 200; 3rd – 1 000; 4th – 700; 5th – 500.
