Drilon welcomes "cleansing process," vows to recover public trust Sep 16th 2013, 02:08 MANILA, Philippines – Senate President Franklin Drilon on Monday said the Senate was working hard to "recover the confidence of the people" amid the lawmakers' alleged misuse of their Priority Development and Assistance Fund (PDAF) or "pork barrel". "The people are angry…even towards the whole institution. Perhaps this will be a challenge to us to be able to recover the confidence of the people in our Senate as a democratic institution," Drilon said in an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990AM.
