Pacquiao eyes establishment of PH Boxing Commission Sep 15th 2013, 02:31   MANILA, Philippines – Boxing icon and Sarangani Representative Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao has proposed the creation of a Philippine Boxing Commission (PBC). "The PBC…shall set the policies and proper directions for the development and safety of professional boxers and providing for the welfare of boxers, coaches, trainers, and support to other stakeholders," Pacquiao said in a statement. Pacquiao said House Bill 59 or "Philippine Boxer's Welfare Act of 2013" will protect boxers from "physical and financial exploitation" through health care, livelihood programs, life insurance, and other benefits.
