Continuous rains flood Ozamiz CIty; classes supended

OZAMIZ CITY — Sustained rains beginning early morning Wednesday caused floods in Ozamiz City, prompting the local government to suspend classes. As of 9 a.m., the entire urban section and outlying suburban villages were submerged in water as much as knee-deep. No fatalities had been reported so far. Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog-Echavez called off classes for private and public elementary and secondary schools as concerns were raised about the safety of school children amid the deluge.
