China committed new violations over West PH Sea–defense chief Sep 3rd 2013, 02:12 MANILA, Philiippines -- Amid long-running tension between Manila and Beijing over the hotly-contested West Philippine Sea (South China Sea), Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin admitted that China has committed fresh violations over the disputed territory. "We do not want to preempt the information...it has to go through channels yet.
