 2 shared 1st at Gaprindashvili Cup
Ministry of Sport and Youth affairs of Georgia and Georgian Chess Federation have organized the Nona Gaprindashvili Cup open tournament to honor the legendary Women's World Champion.
The event was held on 9-17th September in Tbilisi and Nona Gaprindashvili was the chief arbiter.
156 players from eight countries, including 14 Grandmasters, competed in the 9-round Swiss tournament.
Georgian Grandmasters Luka Piachadze and Levan Pantsulaia shared the first place with 7,5/9 points each. Paichadze takes the winner's trophy on better tie-break.
FM Tigran S Petrosyan from Armenia earned a GM norm.
