Apple profit hits new high, iPhone-iPad sales soar Jan 23rd 2013, 23:57 SAN FRANCISCO—Apple on Wednesday reported that its quarterly profit hit a new high as iPhone and iPad sales soared to unprecedented levels in the final months of last year.   Apple said it made a profit of $13.l billion on revenue of $54.5 billion in the fiscal quarter that ended on December 29. The California-based company sold 47.8 million iPhones and 22.9 million iPads, setting new quarterly records.    ...
