Cold front brings rain to parts of Mindanao—Pagasa Jan 22nd 2013, 01:22 MANILA, Philippines -- The tail-end of a cold front affecting Mindanao will bring to Davao and Soccksksargen cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides, the state weather bureau said Tuesday. The rest of Mindanao will have light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said. The rains the past few days have affected about 27,000 persons and has so far left three people dead in Misamis Oriental and Tagum City, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said as of Monday afternoon.
