I was watching Terminator I II & III the other day, and I could not help but notice the similarities between SKYNET and what my generation has come to know as the American federal government. Just as SKYNET, a computer virus with the intelligence to direct its own behavior, was able to vastly overstep its bounds, so too has the federal government evolved. SKYNET was able to take control of the entire United States computer infrastructure. The federal government has taken complete control of our government. There is no such thing as States rights anymore, and the separation of powers has slowly become a joke. When is the last time congress declared war? WWII! But wait, how have we gone to countless wars since then you may ask? We have been able to do this because separation of powers has been taken over by this virus and has become meaningless. The federal government is SKYNET. SKYNET is a virus, and America has been sick for decades.
America has gotten to the point where a complete restructuring of our government as we now know it is badly needed. The re-institution of a small federal government and strong state rights must occur. However, the fault does not entirely lie with this intelligent synergetic entity we call the federal government. The fault lies with you, me, and past generations. We have been watching this pot slow-boil for decades. It started out comfortable. The water got warm with promises of social reform, individualism, and "the great society." These promises of "hope and change" continued more progressively until we are where we are today. Well friends, the water is starting to boil, and if we do not jump out soon, you and I, along with America as we want to know it will perish.
Sadly, with the water on the verge of boiling, the only feasible solution to bring about such drastic changes is civil war. Voting people into office will not accomplish these sweeping changes in an acceptable fashion. This is mostly due to the corruption of our current politicians. Most are sellouts and are too afraid to make waves. Being a congressman was initially envisioned to be a sacrifice for one's country. Do you see these guys sacrificing anything but their dignity? Our founding fathers warned us about the dangers of a two party system. We failed to listen. They warned us that it was too easily controlled and corrupted. We failed to believe. However, there is hope (and not the kind Obama offers). We have this beautiful constitution that lays out everything we need to run the best representative republic the world has ever seen. If we go back to our founding principles, do away with entitlement programs, drastically reduce the size of our federal government, we can restore America to its former glory. Although there is such a thing as separation of church and state, it is impossible to argue that America was not heavily influenced by Christian ideals. We need not forget that.
America, the time for revolution is fast approaching! The Second Amendment was made so that the citizens could not only have a militia, but also send a clear message to the government when things get out of hand. It is not coincidence that throughout history, the first thing every tyrant does is disarm the populace. Are you going to wait until they start confiscating guns? Are you going to wait until marshal law is declared (soon to follow after gun confiscation no doubt)? Everyone, as an American, has the ethical and moral duty to defend the constitution of the United States. Our country has been around for over 200 years. We must stand and declare, "My generation is not going to be the one known for letting America collapse in its most dire time of need!" Whether or not you believe in God, we have God given rights that are inherently true. These rights are Life, liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. These rights are being infringed upon with things such as: Internet censorship, Indefinite Detention of American Citizens Bill (you can be taken off to jail indefinitely without ever receiving a trial as an American), and the Patriot act (which includes the monitoring of phone and email conversations, as well as facial recognition systems linked between online media, street cameras, and government databases). If I would've told you this 20 or 30 years ago, it would have been unbelievable. There would've been riots on the streets. Where are those riots? Are we so comfortable and ignorant of history that we think America is invincible? Look at our economy! Look at our education system. Look at our morals. America has been hijacked, and it is time to take it back. If you are a police officer, army vet, or any government worker, you swore to do just that. The time is coming to buck up or shut up. If you are in the aforementioned services, know who you side with. Don't do what the Nazi's did and blindly follow orders. Stand up for what is right because when the government breaks the constitution and comes for our guns, you had better know what side you are on. Are you going to kill American citizens? Well, many are going to try to kill you when that day comes.
