Bayan 2012 revenue up 8% to P5.2B Feb 7th 2013, 22:19 MANILA, Philippines—Lopez-led Bayan Telecommunications Inc. reported strong revenue growth for 2012 on the back of its growing broadband Internet business.   In a statement, Bayan said it posted P5.22 billion in core revenue in 2012, 8 percent higher than the 2011 level.   Bayan attributed the growth to the strong performance of its data and voice services.   Data service revenue grew by 11 percent to P3.56 billion from year-ago level, driven by the increasing demand for data connectivity and Internet connection.   Digital subscriber line, or DSL, revenue grew by 13 percent year on year to P1.7 billion in 2012 due to the increased usage of so...
