MANILA, Philippines -- A Santrans Bus headed for Sta Cruz, Manila caught fire and was totally burned Friday at the Marilao, North Luzon Rxpressway. Bus conductor Joel Gumafelix said no one was hurt among the 60 passengers after bus driver Romulo Bancolita told them to immediately get off the bus. The Santrans bus has a seating capacity of 58. Gumafelix told the passengrrs not to worry since they were using diesel fuel. Bancolita told the Philippine Daily Inquirer that when he smelled and felt heat coming from below his feet, he jumped outside the window and tried to unplug the battery of the engine but fire suddenly broke out.
