The National Weather Service in Jackson has confirmed that what appears to have been a tornado likely touched down in the Clayton area. Meteorologist David Cox said based on a photograph the NWS received and damage reports, a tornado touched down at approximately 5 p.m. this evening. Clayton Mayor Rydell Turner said he has received reports of roofs blown off of two houses in Clayton, but no injuries.
