MANILA, Philippines -- One person was killed and seven others were injured when a group of police Special Counter Operation Unit Training (Scout) trainees were allegedly ambushed in Mt. Province before dawn Friday, police said. Superintendent Dave Limmong, spokesperson of the CAR police regional office, said the SCOUT trainees were attacked by still unidentified suspects at Sitio Kabunagan, Tadian in Mt. Province around 5:45 a.m. He said the group was jogging and unarmed. The names of the victims weren't immediately available. Police have responded to secure the area and all units have been alerted, Limmong said. No other information is available as of posting time....
