1 rebel dead in Sorsogon clash–military Jul 6th 2013, 00:45 NAGA CITY – An encounter between Army troops and a supposed unit of the New People's Army (NPA) resulted in the death of one suspected rebel in Sorsogon early morning on  Saturday, Army said. Lieutenant Colonel Medel Aguilar, acting spokesman of the Army's 9th Infantry Division in Bicol, said the firefight started at 5:30 a.m. around the vicinity of Barangay (village) Gabao, Irosin, Sorsogon. He said that there was one yet to be identified fatality from among the rebels.
