MANILA, Philippines - A new low-pressure area is being monitored by the state weather bureau as tropical storm "Jolina" made its exit from the Philippine area of responsibility Wednesday afternoon. The LPA was last observed 130 kilometers northeast of Virac, Catanduanes, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said. Should it intensify, it will be the 11th cyclone for this year and will be locally named "Kiko." Storm "Jolina," meanwhile, was last observed 530 kilometers west of Subic, Zambales, and has maintained its maximum winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 80 kph. ...
