Fire hits Manila mall Jan 24th 2013, 00:39 MANILA, Philippines -- Fire broke out from a commercial establishment in Manila's shopping district, a city fire officer said early Thursday. Manila Fire telephone operator Roderl Romero said the fire at 999 mall along Soler Street, corner Claro M. Recto started at 8:07 a.m. It was placed under second alarm at 8:16 a.m., he said.
