EU threatens to fine Britain over EU energy market laws......296,000 euros a DAY!! for failing to tell the European Union whether it has fully implemented rules Jan 24th 2013, 19:50 Britain could face daily fines of 296,000 euros (394,000 dollars) for failing to tell the European Union whether it has fully implemented rules liberalizing its energy market, the bloc's executive announced Thursday. EU member states had until March 2011 to enact legislation paving the way for a single energy market to come into existence by 2014 - a deadline that none of the bloc's 27 members met.
