MANILA, Philippines – Some major dams in Luzon continued to spill water Monday morning as water levels continued to rise due to rains spawned by the southwest monsoon enhanced by tropical storm Maring (international name: Trami). As of 6a.m., Ipo Dam in Bulacan kept one gate open at 0.3 meter as its water levels reached 100.28 meters or above its spilling level of 100.20 meters, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said. Ambuklao Dam in Benguet, meanwhile, opened five gates at 7.5 meters as its water levels were at 749.71 meters, nearing its spilling level of 752.00 meters.
