MANILA, Philippines -- Tropical depression "Maring" continued to move east southeast away from Batanes Sunday morning while the southwest monsoon continued to affect the whole country, the state weather bureau said. Maring was last spotted 32 kilometers east of Itbayat, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said. It is forecast to move east southeast at 11 kph, it added.
