Southwest monsoon to bring rains in Northern Luzon – Pagasa Sep 2nd 2013, 01:00 MANILA, Philippines – A weak southwest monsoon is affecting extreme Northern Luzon and will bring light to moderate rains there, the state weather bureau said Monday. "Cagayan Valley and the regions of Cordillera and Ilocos, the provinces of Zambales and Bataan and the islands of Batanes, Babuyan and Calayan will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms," the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said. Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, it added.
