Binay leads 115th Independence Day rites in Luneta Jun 11th 2013, 23:51 MANILA, Philippines -- People gathered at the Luneta Park in Manila Wednesday for the flag raising ceremony to be led by Vice President Jejomar Binay in celebration of the country's 115th Independence Day. Among those gathered at the monument of national hero Jose Rizal were representatives from the Veterans Federation of the Philippines, Knights of Rizal, MASON,Boys and Girls Scout of the Philippines, and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, among others. The program, set to start at 8 a.m., will follow the theme: Kalayaan 2013: Ambagan Tungo sa Malawakang Kaunlaran.
