MANILA, Philippines—The Metro Rail Transit (MRT) operations stopped early Sunday after a 'taong-grasa' (scavenger) was reportedly sideswept by one of its trains passing the Magallanes station in Makati City, radio reports said Sunday. The unidentified male scavenger reportedly died on the spot. The MRT management, in an interview, said they didn't know how the scavenger got into the station's premises.
