TAGUM CITY – A suspected rebel was killed in an early morning encounter between government troops and the New People's Army in Monkayo, Compostela Valley on Monday. Pursuit operations were still going on hours following the 5:20 a.m. fire fight in Tubo-tubo village, according to Senior Superintendent Camilo Cascolan, Compostela Valley police chief.
