KIDAPAWAN CITY, Philippines—Thirteen mountaineers who were stranded on Mt. Apo were rescued on Monday afternoon, the city government's spokesperson said. Psalmer Bernalte, the city information officer, said the rescued trekkers were being given medical attention in Lake Agco, situated at the foot of the country's highest peak. Some of the mountain climers, Bernalte said, sustained bruises due to the slippery terrain.
