MANILA, Philippines--Two people were killed when a predawn fire gutted several homes in Makati City Friday, a city fire officer said Senior Fire Officer 3 Librado Villanueva identified the fatalities as Danilo Deloviar, 60; and Grace Quintanar, 35. The two were killed when fire blazed through still undetermined number of houses in Barangay (village) West Rembo in Makati City at 12:19 a.m. The fire reached Task Force Alpha before it was put out an hour later. A radio report said the bodies were recovered around 4:30 a.m. Investigators said a lighted candle left unattended could have caused the fire considering that there was no electricity in the area prior to the incident....
