MANILA, Philippines — The number of people killed by the effects of the 7.2-magnitude earthquake that hit Bohol, Cebu and other provinces has risen to 156, authorities said. A report by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said the death toll in Bohol has risen to 144. Meanwhile, 11 fatalities were recorded in Cebu and one in Siquijor. Injured people were tallied at 374 for Cebu, Bohol, Siquijor and Negros Oriental while 22 are still missing in Bohol.
