Metro motorists told to take alternate routes due to Miss World parade

MANILA, Philippines— The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority on Friday reminded motorists to take alternate routes as several roads will be closed down to motorists for the victory parade of newly-crowned Miss World Megan Young. In an advisory, MMDA said that the Ayala Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Young's victory parade will start at 2 p.m. from the Petro Station at the Buendia Avenue (Gil Puyat Avenue) corner Makati Avenue and will pass through Ayala Avenue towards EDSA. The parade will end at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City. As the MMDA expects heavy traffic, it advised affected motorists to take the following alternate routes...
