Fire at Cembo, Makati affects 2,000 families Oct 27th 2013, 01:59 MANILA, Philippines – The huge fire that broke out after midnight at Macda Compound, Barangay Cembo in Makati City was extinguished three hours later, authorities said Sunday.   Radio reports said two children were killed in the fire that affected at least 2,000 families and razed 500 houses.   Senior Fire Officer 1 Jorge Albito told INQUIRER.net that the first alarm was raised at 12:10 a.m.   The fire was placed under control at 1:42 a.m. Sunday, and the fire out declared at 3:10 a.m.   Albito said the investigators, who are still on the field, have yet to determine the total cost of damages and number of casualties because of the large ...
