MANILA, Philippines -- Senator Alan Peter Cayetano on Friday asked the Supreme Court to declare as unconstitutional the Commission on Election (Comelec) resolution that puts a cap on airtime of political advertisements. In his petition-in-intervention, Cayetano joins other media entities who have filed similar petitions with the high court. Cayetano said Comelec Resolution 9615 that limits the advertising time of a candidate was "unconstitutional since it limits the people's right to information."
