3 killed in 75-vehicle pileup in US Mar 31st 2013, 22:46 GALAX, Virginia – Virginia State Police said three people have been killed and more than 20 were injured following a 75-vehicle pileup on an interstate highway near the Virginia-North Carolina border.   The Virginia Department of Transportation said traffic is backed up about 8 miles (13 kilometers).   State police said a series of wrecks began around 1:15 p.m. Sunday in the southbound lanes in the area of Fancy Gap Mountain in southwest Virginia.
