San Francisco, California—After a month long celebration, the Filipino American History Month culminated on Oct. 30 with a special recognition given to five outstanding Fil-Ams for exemplary contributions in their respective districts. The event was sponsored by San Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee and Board of Education Commissioner Hydra Mendoza in partnership with SF-Deputy Consul General Jaime Ramon Ascalon, and the Filipino American Arts Exposition led by Al Perez.
